About

Sustainability

Piece On Peace started over 6 years ago with the name “Sundara Lotus” meaning beautiful flower. We started off by going to markets with our in-house handmade goods.
Taking fashion in school I had always loved creating and making clothes for myself and my friends. It was always about the piece, whether it be the jacket, dress, or accessories.

As my passion grew bigger, I learned more about how the fiber became the textile. Each season we bring out new designs and transform them into a piece that is individual one-offs, we never make the same piece again.

We are conscious of all lines we represent and sell. We learn about each company and artisan, we are mindful of our customers and environment. Being a sustainable company and artisans, we love to support local and worldwide.
Our boutique is tucked into Spruce Cliff Mall, located a little north of Bow Trail. Along with her own clothing, Barb MacKenzie fills her store with linens, beauty products, accessories, and kitchen pantry items that are all sustainable. The store is a collection of sometimes hard-to-find brands made using natural ingredients or through environmentally sound processes. Several products are handmade and everything comes with a story.
